Delegates to the General Meeting of Shareholders of the EIS, the largest in Scotland, the teaching unions, met in Perth last week.
They met in the context of teachers closely accept a deal that was strongly recommended by the union leadership. This included £ 45 million cuts and a 46 percent wage cut supply of many teachers.
The ballot is 56 percent in favor, just a ringing endorsement of the address.
There is anger and bitterness about the treatment.
Leadership narrowly survived a motion of disapproval of the decisions of the committee that negotiated wage agreement EIS.
Delegates were greeted by an angry demonstration outside the conference on Saturday morning, especially of temporary teachers who had traveled from all over Scotland.
A banner reading "For sale was stabbed in the back," summed up the mood.
The protest was organized by a new group called Recovery EIS, which advocates a more democratic Union and to fight any cuts.
Delegates approved a record nine movements calling for industrial action in a number of issues, including national strikes to defend pensions and joint action with other public sector unions.
Delegates also voted overwhelmingly to affiliate to the right to work campaign.
Unfortunately, a specific movement on how to call a vote before November, targeted attacks and the contribution of a member was defeated.
