(1 Public Schools Hillsborough County negotiations
Opening of negotiations between the Association of Teachers and Public Schools Hillsborough County for the 2011-2012 school year will begin on Tuesday.
The talks will be held at the Center for Instructional Services Sam Horton in Tampa.
Two sessions are scheduled for Tuesday. The first is from 9:00 to 11:00 hours, while the second begins at 2:00 pm The talks will continue throughout the day from Wednesday at 9:00 am
Representatives of the school district and teachers union members will be discussed multiple topics, including a new teacher evaluation system, health insurance, and pay for performance compensation.
Talks between the two sides are expected to continue until July.
(2 Crystal River Nuclear Plant public meetings
The staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will solicit public comments at two meetings on Tuesday.
The NRC seeks input regarding the agency's preliminary conclusion that there are no environmental impacts are opposed to an extension of 20 years of the operating license of Crystal River Unit 3 nuclear power plants.
The NRC issued a draft environmental impact statement (EIS on the proposed license renewal of Crystal River on May 26.
The EIS will be discussed during the 2:00 and 7:00 pm at meetings of the Plantation Inn in West Fort Island Trail Crystal River.
NRC will host informal discussions one hour before each meeting. Staff members will be available to answer questions and provide information on the EIA process in these debates, but no oral comments on environmental issues will be accepted at these sessions.
Both meetings will begin with an overview followed by details on the contents of the report, and then open to public consultation.

(4 Rays signing Feeding America Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay Rays and Sweetbay supermarkets have joined the hunger strike outside the park.

(5 Atlantis Flight Readiness Review
NASA managers will meet at the Kennedy Space Center on Tuesday to conduct a review of flight preparation for the final space shuttle mission.
