BEAVERTON, Oregon – As of July, the PGA Tou caddies have used Leupold GX-4 digital laser rangefinder to help their 100 first-class professionals in the top 10 in 2011, including victories at the Masters, players and 10 tournaments.
This year, more than 100 caddies have begun to use the GX-4 in the preparation of all PGA TOUR events. In 2011 three tournaments – the Northern Trust Open, Zurich Classic of New Orleans and National ATT – more than half of the front runners is GX-10-4 users. Since 2009, the GX caddies were involved in more than 50 PGA Tour victories, including three major championships.

Professional Tour Caddies of America (PTCA association continues to support GX as official rangefinder. PTCA, which first supported GX in 2009, is the official association of the PGA TOUR caddies.
Four models make up the line GX. The GX-1 provides tournament-legal line of sight measurement. GX-2 is packed with intelligent technology the range of real Leupold Golf (TGR ® and the Club Selector ™ features. The tournament-legal GX-3 is the most compact model in the series, weighing less than 8 oz. GX-4 offers more versatility with a removable key smart ™ adds the benefits of IMT and club selector only when necessary.
All GX models feature PinHunter ® Laser Technology, which effectively filters out large objects and zeros in the bottom of the flag or pin for target acquisition quickly and accurately. Golfers can choose from a number of grids in order, choose the one that works best for the intended purpose and usage.
Other key features common to all models include locking Prism ™ Technology and the fog mode. When GX is in scan mode, Prisma lock technology makes a beep in the identification of a high intensity return flagsticks equipped with specialized prisms, which are used by many golf courses around the country. With prism block technology, arguing that the constant sound becomes less of a concern, and measuring the exact distance is assured. GX fog mode allows for cutting through the fog and provide fast and accurate measurements at a distance.
IMT and Club has selector GX-2 and GX-4 (with smart key activated to provide accurate information that is coupled with the slope of the shot, the weather and a golfer's distance from specific attack.
