(HVDC cables, smart meters, Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS substations
and electric vehicle infrastructure. The need to need the rising demand
for electricity, improve energy efficiency and integrate renewable
energy sources into the power grid is expected to encourage Saudi Arabia
to adopt further smart grid technologies in the future.
