Magyar Iroda Zrt MAPI and Duvenbeck Fejlesztési Logisztikai IMMO Kft is building a logistics center adjacent to the new Daimler factory in Kecskemét, eastern Hungary, the newspaper Napi Gazdaság reports.

Duvenbeck earned HUF 250 million of state and EU subsidies to support investment, expected to create 200 new jobs over the next two years. The project, which includes a logistics center of 14,000 square meters and a factory of 5,800 square meters, will cost 720 million HUF.

Duvenbeck said it has signed a 3 year contract with Mercedes for the storage and supply of components. The factory is scheduled to come online in early September this year, to be followed by an extension of 9,000 square feet store in December 2012.

Duvenbeck is also requesting a HUF 100 million in EU grants to buy equipment worth HUF 621 million. Later this year, the company plans to hire 70 employees.

Created in 2003 as a wholly owned Hungarian MAPI is one of the largest investment consulting firms.
