2012 Mercedes Benz M-Class to launch next week

Mercedes Benz India will be launching the all-new 2012 Mercedes Benz M-Class at the upcoming Auto Expo in New Delhi. The third generation M-Class was initially unveiled in the European market in June and was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show earlier this year.

The 2012 Mercedes Benz M-Class will see plenty of key improvements, notably in performance, fuel efficiency and design. It will feature a new front fascia, an avant-garde grille, LED daytime running lights, new headlights, a re-sculpted hood and a new tailgate design, which is inspired from the new E-Class. The new M-Class will also wear new interiors, a panoramic roof, full leather seating, ventilated front seats, a rear seat entertainment system and will don a new updated COMAND system with internet connectivity.

The 2012 M-Class was launched in Europe in three variants, the base model, ML250 Bluetec, featuring the same engine that powers the Mercedes Benz C250 Blue Efficiency in India – a 2.1-litre diesel four cylinder mill that produces 204PS of max power and 500Nm of max torque.  The second variant, ML350 Bluetec uses a 3. 0-litre V6 diesel engine that churns out 260PS of power and 620Nm of torque. A 3.5-litre V6 mill that churns out 308PS of power and 370Nm of torque powers the third variant, ML350 BlueEfficiency. All the three variants are mated to a 4-Matic all-wheel drive transmission. However, in Indian market the ML350 Bluetec variant will the see the light of day first.

The 2012 Auto Expo apart from witnessing the launch of the new 2012 Mercedes M-Class will be showcasing more than ten cars including, the new concept A-Class, the SLS GT3, the DTM car and a range of performance cars from the AMG stable.
