The year of change continues for Charlie Ergen's satellite TV companies. Two of their established executives left for jobs at local companies in other industries.

David Rayner, the former chief financial officer at EchoStar Corp.
(Nasdaq: SATS, is the new CFO at Tendril
, a growing Boulder-based smart grid technology company.

Ira Bahr, chief marketing officer at satellite TV company Dish Network Corp.
(Nasdaq: DISH, is leaving the company where he's worked seven of the past 11 years, according to industry publication Multichannel News. He's taking a job at Denver-based resort club Inspirato, the publication said.

Tendril announced Rayner's hiring Tuesday, three weeks after his departure from EchoStar. Mark Pougnet, Tendril's CFO since 2008, will become the company's chief delivery officer, a new position.

Although it's hiring people quickly, Tendril is small compared to the companies Rayner has worked at in recent years. Rayner held a number of executive positions at EchoStar and Dish Network. Previously, he worked for TW Telecom Inc.
and Time Warner Cable
.

Vivek Kemka, Dish Network vice president of product, will take over as acting Dish Network marketing chief office while company searches for a replacement for Bahr.

Ergen resigned in spring as CEO of Dish Network, a position he'd held since co-founding the companies. He remains chairman of both Dish Network and EchoStar and is focused on long-term strategy at both companies.

Joe Clayton took over as Dish Network CEO on June 20.

The executive changes coincided with multibillion-dollar acquisitions by both Dish Network and EchoStar.

EchoStar acquired satellite services and broadband company Hughes Network Inc.
this summer. Dish Network bought the assets of Blockbuster, the video rental company, and launch streaming movie services from it.

Dish also bought satellite companies TerreStar Network
and DBSD North America at bankruptcy auction, and it's trying use their satellite spectrum to offer video, broadband and voice both in the home and for mobile devices.
