EPA Receives EISs for Timber Harvesting, Wind Powered Electricity

WASHINGTON, May 1 — The EPA has received environmental impact statements affecting the following areas:

ALASKA: The EPA has received a final EIS (Doc. No. 20120115 regarding the Tonka Timber Sale Project and a proposal to harvest timber in the Petersburg Ranger District, the Tongass National Forest and in Petersburg. Contact Jason Anderson at 907/772-3871.

COLORADO: The EPA has received a draft EIS (Doc. No. 20120120 regarding the Mohave County Wind Farm Project and a proposal for an application for a right-of-way grant to construct and operate a wind powered electrical generation facility in White Hills and Mohave County.
