The National Park Service announces the release of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Draft Trail Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement for public review and comment until August 20.
The Draft EIS aims to develop a blueprint that will guide the expansion, restoration, management, operations, and use of the trail system and its associated amenities over the next 15 years. It analyzes eight alternatives that provide a variety of trails and trail facilities for visitors in CVNP while protecting the national park's natural, cultural, and scenic resources.
See the plan online at http://parkplanning.nps.gov/cuyahogatrailplan Reference copies are available for viewing at several public libraries and locations within Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
The park will hold a public meeting from 6:30-8:30 p.m. July 24 at Cleveland Metroparks Canalway Center, 4524 E. 49th St., Cleveland. A short presentation will be followed by questions and comments.
